”I’m just here to sit with you. I’m right here”, Charlotte, watchwoman.

Charlotte Kirsten and Annette are watchwomen (vågekoner). They use their spare time to keep lonely dying people company.

In the “The Last Night Shift” we follow the three watchwoman when they are on a shift and in their private surroundings. We get closer to them and learn about their thoughts, emotions and motivation for being a watchwoman.

The film is also a poetic meditation about death and allows the audience to reflect on their own mortality.
